Three tours in one (29 days/6300 km)
Over past
years we had several clients who suggested to merge Grand, Mekong and Tour of
the South into "All of Thailand Tour". After a good consideration we ran a test
tour with five motorcycles in October 2007. It was a success and we have decided
to include it into in our 2008 program. This tour encompasses practically all
the country. You will see Thailand at its best. From elephant rides, hill tribes
and trip to Burma in the North to boat trips around palm fringed islands in the
South, from visit across Mekong river to Laos villages in the East to ride on
River Kwai "Death railway" in the West. There will be hardly anything that is
worth seeing in Thailand that you will miss out on this tour. If you have a
month to burn this will be the tour that you will never forget.
We shall ride
700 kilometres along Mekong river through Isaan where you can observe Thai rural
life as it was centuries ago. We shall start on eastern coast of Siam Bay, visit
the Angkor Wat style temples of Phanom Rung , the colourful Isaan villages,
relaxing tree-lined avenues of Vientiane-the capital of Laos, intriguing forest
temples, noisy Indochina market in Nong Khai, take a boat trip up the Mekong to
prehistoric rock paintings and admire the natural wonder of tropical rainforests
of Khao Yai. Further you will visit the ancient temples of Sukhothai, the
colourful hill tribe villages, relaxing Chiang Mai, mysterious Golden Triangle,
noisy markets of Burmese town Tacilek, take a long-tail boat trip across Mekong
to Laos and see infamous Bridge on River Kwai. And then on to white sand
beaches, green islands, coconut lined bays. You will enjoy tranquillity of Krabi and Phang Nga bay. In the
South there are Thailand's most beautiful islands with beaches that have been
immortalized in postcards and dreams.
It will not be only riding, you will
snorkel, go on boat trips to the islands, explore caves and remote Buddhist
sanctuaries. Two days in the seaside resort near Bangkok, two days in Khmer
country along Cambodian border, four days along Mekong river, a day in
Vientiane, two days in the mountains of Loei and Khao Yai, four days in Chiang
Mai and Chiang Rai in the North, a day in Burma and Laos, four days exploring
the Central Thailand including the mountain high plateaus and the river Kwai
bridge with Death railway, a day in Surat, two days in Krabi, a day in
Pang Nga and Khao Lak, three days exploring the Bay of Siam and Andaman coasts of
Thailand and finally a day and half in Bangkok for shopping. finally a day and
half in Bangkok for shopping. Visa for Laos and Burma is arranged at the border.
